thought of spicing things up a bit since its been quiet for a while :)

I came across an interesting project. for a while i was dissapointed
that my pocket camera (canon ixus 850is)
was not able to save pictures in raw format up to a point that i began
of thinking of getting another one.
the reason i was keen of having additional features was cause i wanted
to take some pictures underwater
and its totally different underwater. anyhow, as i was talking about
it to a friend, he stops me and introduces
me to the CHDK(http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/CHDK). now the joy this
brought me was so great that i couldnt
keep it to myself and had to share it with others! now all i have to
do is hack scripts that would optimize
taking pictures under water and taking bracket shots (hdri).

if you have a compatible digicam, i recommend you give CHDK a try!
CHDK will give you a hobby to be occupied
with this summer!

PS: now that the situation in the country has calmed down a bit and
people can move arround again (i hope), I think
you guys could start planing a summer get together or something to
compensate for the long silence on this mailing list.
