[leglug-users] Job offer, and RootSpace launch open house

Dear LEGLUG,
We spoke about meeting up, but we never settled on a day.  If you are 
interested, we are getting ready to do our public launch of RootSpace, 
an incubator/innovation/community space set up to help people with 
tech/social entrepreneurship projects, and focusing on sustainable 
social and economic development.  It would be great to have some people 
from LEGLUG stop by. More information is online at our website

Experienced PERL/CGI Programmer*
Location: Beirut
Availability: Immediate
Minimum Work Hours: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday

This is not a position for beginners. If you are not an experienced PERL/CGI
programmer, do not apply.

Responsibilities:
* Work with project manager to implement multi-module, integrated web-based
management system.
* Write CGI modules according to functional specifications, back-end
database structure and front-end graphic design.
* Program CGI modules that scale well on the web.


Candidate must have the following:
* At least 3 years experience programming in Perl/CGI.
* A college degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or
equivalent.
* Ability to work outside standard business hours during peak development
periods.


Candidate must meet all the following criteria:
* Strong knowledge of complex relational database design.
* Experience with MySQL, Class DBI and MS-SQL
* Fluency in HTML syntax coding
* Knowledge of Javascript programming
* Knowledge of Linux and Apache web server environments
* Knowledge of web development standards
* Strong skills in communication, teamwork and adherence to technical
standards and procedures.
* Additional familiarity with PHP and COLDFUSION would be an advantage.
* Enthusiasm, strong discipline and positive attitude.

Your resume should demonstrate your experience and knowledge of the above.
