Hello Mohammed,

I used a very nice distro before. I understand you are trying to custom build your own Access point/Router. I used http://www.m0n0.ch/wall before. I built a home routert from some old P2 celeron. For lower power consumption and reliability because its not on UPS. I added a D-link wireless card (original use by manufacturer was not to use as AP) to make it an access point. You will have much more control with this than any other AP you buy.
m0n0wall was did everything i want very well, but nother distro based on m0n0wall is pfsense http://www.pfsense.com. Similar but with a lot more features, only it does not fit on a 16 mb flash card. This is an issue because filesystems special for flash memory are better with small partitions, and many other reasons i cannot think of now.
By the way, m0n0wall is a freebsd system, and there is documentation to show you how to build your own from scratch.
