oh forgot to emphasize
since centos is a fork of redhat, if the app doesnt work on centos
then it wont work on redhat! that is guaranteed! the only thing you
need to have in place is the /etc/redhat-release file which actually
contains a text string of the os version. if you put that correctly in
place on a centos, your application wont know the difference!!
