[leglug-users] Thanks for Ubuntu cd

Thanks Alaa for the reply.

Well basically my other questions were regarding my own progress in the open
source/Linux domain.
Most of the Linux users and enthusiasts I have met either work or study in
the field, unfortunately I am neither.
What I was suggesting is if anyone on the list has any ideas they can share
that i am most probably not aware of, such as
virtualization was till i stumbled upon it, on how I can maintain my
progress momentum alongside the reading/forums/trial&error
that I am undergoing.

Due to my inexperience in the field it would be impossible for me to find
paid work at this stage,
however I am willing to devote some time volunteering to do basic system
admin work or participate in any
projects in order to learn efficiently.

So I am hoping there is someone out there that needs a hand, and I am sure
active Linux pros have their hands full.
In return, given that my profession over the last decade has been scuba
diving, I can provide related fun, instructional
activities, which should be appealing given we are at the start of summer
season and it would be advantageous
for computer addicts to get out and enjoy Lebanese outdoors.

I have been attending an LPI course over the last couple of months and have
sufficient familiarity with the usage.

Thanks.
Mo

You're welcome.

Well, the discussion mainly revolved around the accessibility and usability
studies that went into Gnome after Sun got involved. They did it for
commercial reasons, but the benefits were for everybody.(to sell to
government institutions, there are minimum standards for accessibility and
usability among other things) But anyway, I don't advocate one solution over
the other unless there are strong technical basis for it. Otherwise, i say
that you should try everything, and with today's virtualization solutions,
it should be very easy.

You should be able to find all the information on Gnome's architecture on
the web, i think that there are a couple of weak parts in it, but they will
be replaced(mainly the bonbo architecture).

I don't understand your other questions though.

Regards,
Alaa Salman
