The following is my position regarding this matter. Although i did
mention some of it during the meeting, here it is again for archiving.

We are a Linux/Free/Open Source community. The strength and thus
validity of any such group comes from its members. Its members that are
willing to dedicate the time and effort to further spread and strengthen
this idea.

It really has nothing to do with Linux specifically. Linux, the kernel,
was just the fastest growing medium for this idea and the most visible.
The GNU system was the incubator that started all of this and made it
possible. The FSF was the organization behind it. They were the active
ingredient that made this possible.

Just as the concept of free software is not dependent on Linux, this
community is not dependent on a specific list.

The whole "breakup" happened because we started to forget that. My whole
point is that we don't need a list, we don't need a leader or a dictator
or even a trio...

To summarize:
-All decisions should be made by a simple vote during the meetings, the
way that they are now.

-The catalyst will be specific members or specific events. No need for
any one person to stir things around. The term could be "passive activity"

-If it is at all possible, i suggest a join of resources in the sense of
one website and one list just to make things simpler for outside people.

-The possible content of the website was also discussed earlier and we
all seem to share one view.

-I also propose a code of conduct or some general bylaws for proper
behavior(i think we already have that, but we need to re-affirm its use)

I have avoided negative feedback for the sake of avoiding silly
confrontations. I urge all to do the same.

Regards,
Alaa Salman
P.S. I do see one problem that exists in several communities. People who
cannot express themselves correctly using English. And thus may come
out as being rude. Please let yourselves be known for the benefit of
all. Or just ask for help or annotate your email or something.
