[leglug-users] Recent LLUG elections & future actions

Hey all,

Here's what I think about this issue:

Regarding the website, I am for the idea presented in the previous meeting;
that is to have contact information that is relevant to new users who want
to know about Linux in lebanon. What that information would be? that's still
up for debate, but I don't think any articles or howtos to any of the old
stuff is really needed.

As for the merge, it's not like there are two active groups and we want to
somehow merge them together. The LLUG has been without any kind of
"leadership" for as long as I can remember, so the current situation is:
there are two groups of people, one group (the LEGLUG) running with a very
flat kind of leadership where just some people take it upon themselves to
coordinate issues.. and another group (the LLUG) that used to have some sort
of strict leadership (read: dictatorship? :) and then suddenly the king
abdicated his throne, so the LLUG became just a group of people, as they say
in arabic, "fet7in 3a 7sebon"
I don't think there's a reason for the issue to stay like this. The main
problems were with the leadership of the LLUG, and that's one of the reasons
why the LEGLUG was born, and since now the Reich is nowhere to be seen, it's
time to get all those people together and start doing things that matter,
you know, like, related to Linux and stuff...

P.S: I've always been politically neutral regarding these issues, so sorry
if I offended anyone, and these views are my own only and do not necessarily
reflect the views of the LEGLUG.
