Hello folks,

Following the results of the recent LLUG "elections", I think most of
you know that I have attained a position in the so called "trio"
(although I did not get a nomination notification, my name was just
magically placed there). At any rate, since we now have a say in how
things can happen, I was wondering what the rest of you thought and
felt about this topic.

Since this has always been a place where we discuss things in this
group as opposed to just doing things unilaterally, I wanted your
opinion(s). Please try to give detailed answers as to what you think
about:

1) The possibility of a merge.
2) The linux.com.lb domain name (what it should act as? should it be a
LUG's website, or should it merely inform people about what active
groups use Linux and open source software in Lebanon)
3) If your answer to (1) is "no", then would you like to have some
sort of cooperation where both LUGs share resources or cooperate?
(linux.com.lb included)

I have been receiving mixed thoughts and emotions from several
members, be it online, or offline (during the last meeting). Lets
discuss this and decide how we want to approach and handle it.

Best regards,

hisham.
