there are several out there which are worth checking.
you have to note that you really have real requirements and not just
to want something
because it has the bells and the whistles. there are many companies
out there that
deploy ms exchange and barelly use 5-10% of its features.

so first concentrate on identifying what features are really used and
what routines are practiced and required after that check out the
following.

ive been considering to use zimbra for personal use but then again,
the following suffices quick usage (light and simple webmail)

www.roundcube.net

in addition there is a spannish project (cant remember exactly the
name or whether it was the gmail opensource version) you can google
for it.

but if it comes to setting up and forgetting and having enough
features to expand and integrate with other oss projects then consider
zimbra.
