Edmond & Chady:
Sure. I mainly notice it when i am using vmware server(even running just
1 machine). I notice some slow down in GNOME, but i think that it is
relevant to GNOME or nautilus.
These are the numbers. I know that supposedly i should be using sdparm
for SATA devices, but i am a little short on information on how to do that.
john at Cenarius:~$ sudo hdparm -tT /dev/sda
/dev/sda:
Timing cached reads: 2932 MB in 2.00 seconds = 1464.82 MB/sec
Timing buffered disk reads: 148 MB in 3.03 seconds = 48.86 MB/sec
