Dear Lebanon Linux Users,

Microsoft is pushing hard in all the countries members of ISO to force
them to vote YES to their broken standard proposal on Office OpenXML
(OOXML in short).

Our association has launched a petition recently:

http://www.noooxml.org/petition

Lebanon is one of the countries that can approve or disapprove this
important standard.

As you may know, Lebanon has one vote as United States has one vote.

The authority deciding in Lebanon is LIBNOR:

http://www.libnor.org/

Would it be possible for your group to submit technical comments to
object on the standard?

It is for example impossible to enter dates before the year 1900, or
to calculate days of work for Muslims countries (I don't know what are
the days off in Lebanon):

I hope you can help with convincing your National Body to vote NO.

Best regards,

PS: je parle aussi francais
