Greetings

Just to keep the people in this list up to date, this is how far we have come

-in short, the survey has been published, ran and completed
- the end results will be published this week including proposals so

1- communicate with key people and confirm the ability to control
linux.com.lb domain for official use.
STATUS: (Done, waiting further decisions to complete)
ACTION POINT: need to communicate with Leglug members regarding the
idea of a merge.
Comment:

2- perform a survey to all members of llug and leglug that would cover
the various topic areas that would address, brand and revive the LUG
influence and operations in the country and its visibility globally
STATUS: (Done, results yet to be published this week)
ACTION POINT: Publish and comment the results
COMMENT:


3- based on the survey, revise the LUG bylaws and other relative
documentation issues, review on how and if possible to remerge LLUG
and LEGLUG to run as one LUG.
STATUS: next in line
ACTION POINT: review the survey and resolve merge topic with leglug
COMMENT: attempting to contact leglug members.

4- recreate the website and define the content that would be present
STATUS: later
ACTION POINT: based on survey and willing candidates, the webportal
would be recreated and deployed with the community assistance
COMMENT: BE ACTIVE!!

5- define the activities by which all this would be put back on track.
STATUS: later
ACTION POINT: raise topics by the community members that would require
atention or development

once those essential basic have been resolved, we can then start
reviewing as what projects to tackle based on the survey that would be
performed by then.

I hope that more people would comment on this and participate in the
preliminary tasks of "cleaning up" what we currently have and shed a
light on the future of LUG and lebanese LUG presentation abroad.

I would like to thank the people who have been active so far on the
issue and hope that this all would reach the goal that we all aim for.
