quite true, so the same applies to any OS: know what you're
installing, and (in Linux' case) where you're getting it from. I still
feel that the Linux choice is safer, especially for the non-techies
(like mom). They simply can't screw it up that much if you set it up
the right way. Some would argue that you can set user permissions in
XP as well, but I know for a fact (from experience) it's not the same
deal.

We don't even know if it will be available everywhere this summer! But
I guess you can use it if the setup is ready for your area.
