On a daily basis, I have the following apps consuming network traffic:

Skype
aMsn
Firefox
irssi
audacious (audio scrobbling)
cvs (updates to my opensource projects and for work)
portsnap (updating my freebsd ports collection)

I typically turn on my workstation at work at around 9:00 or 9:30 AM,
and turn it off at around 5:00 PM. Sometimes, I have a couple of more
hours at night.

If I'm not doing any of my usual weekly movie / tv show downloads, or
I dont get any ISO's or PS3 downloads, I average around 80MB a day of
internet traffic.

My dialy surfing habits include several news sites, blogs, deviant art
(large images typically), google's various online apps, and several
documentation / online resource websites.

The main issue at hand is though, I am NOT looking for a "basic" type
of internet connection. I *want* to get those weekly videos, I *want*
to download PS3 games online, and I want to play online when I get the
time.

Having to worry about every megabyte spent online is not what I want.

Take care,

hisham.
