Greetings ppl!
Im partially back, partially as back with some news and the rest is up
to you! ;)
anyhow,
for some good news:
1- Im partially back and hope that ppl would be active regardless
whether there is someone noisy around ;)
2- as was informed in my previous message, HTTP://www.linux.com.lb is
being revamped
hence now you have the chance to participate and show your interest
and share your effort in feeding content to the site. remember that
the URL in question does not relate to an individual LUG but is more
of a "top body" for linux & opensource in the LB domain so the content
needs to be general and generic. no fancy stuff as it wont be used as
a front page.
those who add or update content, please post here later on to ease its
moderation.
3- a forum was setup almost 2 months ago, where some discussions,
white papers or whatever can be gathered or questioned. the forum
requires an admin and a moderator so i hope that there are willing
volunteers, for details please contact me.
now for some bad news,
1- i still cant be as active as i would like, so its up to you guys to
push things forward
2- appearently turkish hackers/script kiddies have aimed their
bit-guns at www.linux.com.lb so after i get to investigate further on
the most feasable way to repel the attacks and cut down the risks,
there might be changes to the setup.
but for now, please be kind enough to show your interest on the
subject by freely editing the wiki of the site. moderation will be
done as content is fed. content that is classified as static will be
changed to static by the wiki so it would not be editable later on.
regards
BL
