[leglug-users] ideal developer station

hey all
what in your opinion is the ideal developer station/server?
for some1 who will use it to develop applications using main languages (C, C++, C#, Java.. and even VB.net and server side scripts). applications for mobile devises and database development.
what will be the ideal hardware and software?
please keep in mind that this person might -or will probably- develop applications for all platforms NOT just for linux but the programs should be free or cheap enough to obtain license.
