Subject: What is a proper way to make User mode device (pseudo device) ?
To: linux-il at cs.huji.ac.il

Hi all,

I have following problem :

User mode application (VLC) communicates with a kernel device (in /dev) in
a regular way:
open+ioctl().

I have user mode SDK which I would like to use in order to implement ioctl
calls.
( This SDK issues ioctl to the real device).

Till now I did not find the solution throgh googling, please advice .

Good day,
Lev
